Aligned to FCPS. Personalized to your child.
We follow the Fairfax County math sequence and personalize it as much as small classes allow — diagnosing the exact gaps that make advanced math feel impossible, and rebuilding them.
Diagnose · Repair · Master · Transfer
Diagnose
Find the precise concepts and procedures the student has not mastered.
Repair
Rebuild prerequisite skills without needlessly repeating a whole prior course.
Master
Succeed in the mathematics currently taught in the FCPS classroom.
Transfer
Solve unfamiliar problems independently and explain the reasoning.
Because we follow the FCPS curriculum, our courses use the same names and sequence your child sees at school — so support maps directly onto their coursework. College Board expects students entering AP Precalculus to be proficient in introductory algebra and geometry, while AP Calculus assumes command of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and multiple function families. Small classes let us tailor pace and focus to each student.
Standard FCPS-aligned courses
Pre-Algebra / Math Foundations
Fractions, ratios, integers, expressions, equations, exponents, and coordinate reasoning — the language and habits Algebra 1 assumes. We close specific gaps so students enter Algebra 1 ready, not guessing.
Algebra 1 (& Honors)
Linear relationships and functions, systems, inequalities, exponents, and quadratics, with heavy work on translating word problems. We rebuild the arithmetic and reasoning that quietly block progress.
Geometry (& Honors)
Diagrams, logic and proof, similarity, circles, coordinate geometry, and applications — moving students from memorized formulas to genuine geometric reasoning.
Algebra 2 (& Honors)
Quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions. We shore up Algebra 1 foundations so the expanding family of functions stays coherent.
Pre-Calculus / AP Precalculus
Function analysis, modeling, and trigonometry — with the conceptual reinforcement and AP-style practice AP Precalculus students need.
AP Calculus AB / BC
Stronger algebraic fluency plus conceptual calculus instruction, school-course support, and targeted AP exam preparation.
Multivariable Calculus & Linear Algebra
A selective advanced seminar for students who have already mastered single-variable calculus and want genuine college-level challenge.
SAT Math
Resolves the Algebra 1/2, data-analysis, and problem-translation gaps behind SAT weakness. Offered through our online SAT program.
Note: linear functions are taught as a foundational unit inside Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and SAT Math — not as a separate course.
